A cleansing balm is a thick blend of oils, waxes, plant-based surfactants and cosmetic clay that self emulsifies when mixed with water. They can be used to remove make-up or to cleanse the skin.. This balm works in the same way as an oil-based cleanser or make-up remover; it uses oils to remove the oils (make-up), dirt and impurities from the skin on your face.
 
Because the balm is blended with a natural emulsifier and a plant-based surfactant, when it is mixed with water it will self-emulsify into a creamy consistency with a light lather. It can be easily rinsed off with just water, without the need to use soap to remove it (unlike an oil-based cleanser).
 
This recipe includes:
Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Castor Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Durosoft PG4-O, Olive Oil, Oil 1 (your choice), Oil 2 (your choice), Preservative, Vitamin E.
 
Oil Options (1&2): Grapeseed Oil, Broccoli Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Neem Oil, Blackcurrant Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil.
Exfoliant: You have the option to create an exfoliating balm by including one of the following exfoliants: 1) Finely ground pumice, 2) Apricot Kernel, 3) Jojoba Beads (fine), 4) Bamboo powder, 5) Oatmeal (fine).
There is also the option to include a small amount of cosmetic clays in the formulation (red, pink, green, yellow, purple and Moroccan lava clays).
 
Oils, bioglitters and colours must be purchased from Shotfeet to validate your Assessment but base products can be purchased from other reputable outlets.
 
All Shotfeet micas, pigment colours and water soluable dyes can be used with your Assessment

You will receive an assessment in your name and a formulation guide within 10 business days of purchase. Assessments / recipes are valid in the UK and the EU. You are still required to comply with the CLP and product safety regulations (including GMP), create and maintain a product information file and register the product on the portal.
